Grab the tissue box, Popmaniacs. Dove Cameron poured her heart out on Instagram yesterday about the Descendants movies and we have all of the feels. In fact, Dove said that she wants to do 100 more Descendants movies. Is this a dream? It totally makes sense because Descendants 2 aired on July 21 on Disney Channel with groundbreaking results.

“The numbers are in: 13 million viewers in one night, number one soundtrack on iTunes, and second most watched Disney Channel movie of all time,” Dove said in her Instagram caption. How insane is that, Popmaniacs? We knew the movie would be absolutely incredible because it includes so many of our fave celebs, the storyline is perfect, and the costumes are astounding. But we never dreamed it would achieve these results! This makes us want a third installment to the famous franchise. And with the way Dove is talking, it looks like it could be a possibility.

We are so proud of the entire Descendants team. And clearly, so is Dove! “It is not a normal human experience to put out something so personal, to be so exposed and vulnerable for tens of millions to see. But you all have made me feel so safe, so seen and so beyond humbled with your love and support, I feel like I might lift off the ground and float away,” Dove said. “To all of the fans and the cast and crew: thank you. I do not deserve you. Let’s do 100 more.” One of our absolute favorite things about Dove Cameron is that she always manages to thank her fans and the people that helped her along the way. So many stars nowadays don’t do that enough!

We most definitely would not mind having 100 more Descendants movies to watch! Someone please call Kenny Ortega and tell him that Dove wants more movies. We’re sure he would love to make some more.

Last night 5H performed for the first time on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. Not only did the 5H girls bring their A-game for their performance, they gave the fans a super awesome spoiler about their upcoming album. The girl group will be releasing a self-titled album! The Fifth Harmony album will be their third record as a group and we know it will be absolutely incredible. Luckily, fans won’t have to wait very long because their album will be released on August 25.

The girls slayed their performance of their single “Down” with incredible vocals and even more amazing fashion last night. They dressed in similar black leather outfits and each one was to die for! We loved their performance because it was super simple and really focused on the vocals of the song. Even though they were the stars of the show, they definitely fangirled about being on the late night talk show while meeting Jimmy Fallon.

Although Camila Cabello left the group last year, it looks like the four girls are better than ever. They’ve been performing and creating music that is super catchy, relatable and infectious. This new album will feature countless collabs with some of Hollywood’s hottest artists. Skrillex, Sebastian Kole and Poo Bear are just a few of the many musicians that worked with 5H on their upcoming album.

Major news, Popmaniacs! Our fave girl band Little Mix has announced that they’ve been working on a movie or a television show that’s based on their lives. Will we get the inside scoop about their lives? Will we see the girls grow together as besties and bandmates? We literally cannot wait to go see Little Mix’s movie out in theaters.

The talented group, which includes Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, has been majorly busy on the world tour for their album Glory Days. In fact, they were actually on tour when they announced this possibility of a movie or show. “We’ve thought about it a lot,” Jesy said. We’re thinking the movie or the show could include a huge part of their tour, since that’s actually where they announced it!

“We are in talks about it, it has just got to be right,” said Jesy. “We have got some proper class footage that no one has ever seen. It’s stuff that you’d never see Little Mix be like.” OMG, Popmaniacs! It would be amazing to get the inside scoop on the side of Little Mix we don’t get to see. We love that this British band is following in the footsteps of other pop stars, like One Direction, Justin Bieber, and Katy Perry, who all have their own documentaries.

Although we’re stoked about the possibility of a TV show or a movie, the girls have yet to reveal any more info about the project. It’s totally understandable though. They’re so busy! Especially now that they’ll be going back to the UK to start working on the follow-up for Glory Days.

We are beyond stoked for Little Mix’s movie, Popmaniacs. We’ve been obsessed with the British pop stars since they were first formed on the UK version of the X Factor. Fun fact — these ladies actually auditioned for the X Factor as solo artists and the judges gave them the option to form a group. We’re so glad they did!

Ever since Liv & Maddie ended this past March, we’ve been searching for something to fill the unbearable void. But search no longer. This new show will air on Nickelodeon and be called Knight Squad. Here’s why Knight Squad will be your new favorite show:

1. It’s a totally cool concept — Knight Squad is about two students who become friends at a school for amateur knights. But there’s a twist — these two students are keeping each other’s secrets. Majorly cool, right?! We love that Nickelodeon is branching out and trying something different with this show.

2. It stars Daniella Perkins — It’s actually going to be starring Daniella Perkins. She’s a gorgeous and hilarious YouTuber who got her start on the app Musical.ly with her younger sister, Devenity. How fun will it be for us to see Daniella take over our TVs too?! She’s going to be amazing.

3. It includes a diverse cast — One of our fave things about Knight Squad is that the cast is so diverse! There are so many fresh, new faces that we get to see, like Owen Joyner, Lilimar, Daniella Perkins, and Amaar M. Wooten. We can’t wait until they kill it on screen.

4. It’s on Nickelodeon — We’re obsessed with just about every show on Nickelodeon, Popmaniacs. That’s why we’re beyond stoked that Knight Squad will be on the iconic network! We’re excited to add it to our list of faves, like Thundermans, Spongebob, and so many more.

5. We know it’s going to be incredible — We just have a feeling that this show is going to be absolutely unbelievable. The creators, John D. Beck and Ron Hart, have made us so happy in the past. Like we said, we’ve been depressed without Liv & Maddie. That’s why we know that when this show finally airs, we’ll be watching every episode.

1. The Vixens cheer uniform — How adorable are these uniforms, Popmaniacs? They’re fun, flirty, and you can still tumble in them! We just love how fun these uniforms are, especially because we’ve seen Veronica and Betty totally kick butt while wearing them. We hope they bring them back for season 2.

2. All of Veronica’s retro outfits — Veronica clearly has her own style and doesn’t care what others think of her. We love that attitude here at Popmania. She does her own thing, wears what she wants, and doesn’t let anybody get her down. We literally can’t get over how elegant her signature pearl necklace is.

3. The fabulous prom dresses — We almost died when we saw Betty’s gorgeous baby blue prom dress, Popmaniacs. She looked majorly stunning. But don’t think we forgot about Veronica’s prom dress either. She is slaying in her all black everything ensemble. Not to mention that her dress is covered in sparkles. Obsessed.

4. Cheryl Blossom’s little black dress — Bad gal Cheryl Blossom is famously known to have the best style of anyone. She’s always dressed to impress. And boy, does she impress us! We’re loving her little black dress with a maroon collar and matching maroon heeled boots.

5. Josie and the Pussycats — These ladies were constantly slaying in their outfits during the first season. We literally wanted to own everything they wore. No joke! With Josie always looking retro chic, Valerie combining hipster with punk rock, and Melody owning it in her leather jacket, these ladies were the best dressed trio at Riverdale High School.

2. “Slow Hands — Acoustic,” Niall Horan — The One Direction heartthrob has been absolutely slaying the solo music scene recently. And this song is so exception! Believe us, the acoustic version is just as amazing as the original. We can’t decide which one we like better.

3. “Shape of You — Acoustic,” Ed Sheeran — Ever since Ed’s album Divide came out back in March, we’ve been listening to it on repeat. “Shape of You” is definitely one of our favorites, so that’s why we love the acoustic version so much.

4. “Issues — Acoustic,” Julia Michaels  — We totally love the message of this song. “’Cause I got issues, but you got ’em too. So give ’em all to me, and I’ll give mine to you.” You go, Julia!

5. “Strip That Down — Acoustic,” Liam Payne — Obvi we had to add another member of One Direction to our playlist! Can you tell we miss them? Luckily it makes it better than both Liam and Niall are doing so amazing in their solo careers. We’re so proud of you, boys!

6. “All Night — Acoustic,” The Vamps and Matoma — We had to throw a British pop rock band into the mix, Popmaniacs! We’re so used to the fast-paced original version of this song, so that’s why it’s so fun to listen to the acoustic version. It’s totally perfect for this playlist.

“This Is Me,” by Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas: Demi sang about “Confidence” before the actual song came out. This track was perfect for Demi’s voice featuring her signature rock ‘n’ roll vibes. When Joe joined her for the ultimate duet, we were blown away.

“So Yesterday,” by Hilary Duff: This song off Hilary’s debut album Metamorphosis is still the best breakup song ever. Hilary’s voice sounds incredible in this power ballad filled with emotional lyrics. The lyrics really spoke about the process of getting over someone you like.

“Burnin’ Up,” by The Jonas Brothers: We wanted to be true rock stars like the Jonas Brothers after we heard this song. With Nick’s insane falsetto and Joe’s raspy voice, they were a match made in heaven for the track. This was just the start of our insane Jonas Brothers crush that is still here to this day.

“Hoedown Throwdown,” by Miley Cyrus: The Hannah Montana Movie featured epic songs and even more epic dance scenes. This song was our favorite of the entire movie! We even took the time to try and learn the dance moves for the song so we could dance along during the scene.

“Sneakernight,” by Vanessa Hudgens: Vanessa showed just how amazing her vocals were in every High School Musical song. When she started her solo career, this song proved it all over again. The hip-hop beat in the song is infectious and gets you dancing. When this song came on, we always tied on our light-up sneakers up, then sang and danced our hearts.

“You And I“: A song that pulls our heart strings over and over again is “You And I.” The lyrics in this song and the boys’s voices are perfect. Plus Zayn’s famous high note in the bridge is pure magic!

“Little Things“: This is by far our favorite 1D performance ever. The boys have never sounded so perfect singing this song. From the harmonies to the solos, this performance really proved to everyone how talented these guys really are!

“Infinity“: The guys totally rocked the BBC Radio 1 studio when they performed this song. They jammed out to the power ballad, especially during the bridge. We loved seeing them so passionate about the music they performed!

“Night Changes“: Not only is this song absolutely incredible, but so was 1D when they performed on Saturday Night Live. The boys were starting to really find a rhythm together in their own voices and in fashion! They looked stunning in their rock ‘n’ roll attire. Overall, 1D brought their A-game for their appearance on SNL. 

“History“: We will try not to cry as we watch what was One Direction’s last performance together before the hiatus. Although it was a sad time for the fans, the guys look super happy and enjoyed performing together. Their group hug at the end really had us in tears. It’s incredible that they performed together for the last time on the X-Factor stage that started it all!

Ever since we saw Citizen Four in concert this summer, we’ve been obsessing over their music. Not only is their original music incredible, but their covers are even better than the originals. Although C4 is super talented in their own right, they perfectly re-create their own sound in other popular songs. These are five Citizen Four covers we’ve been listening to on repeat:

“Needed Me,” by Rihanna: This stripped down version of Rihanna’s song sounds incredible by C4. The boys showcase their incredible vocals throughout this song with amazing falsetto and vocal control. You can tell the guys feel every single emotion and express the lyrics perfectly throughout the song.

“This Town,” by Niall Horan: Niall would be super proud of Citizen Four for their version of his song. We love that the band made the song upbeat compared to Niall’s simple acoustic sound. The change in sound gave the song a whole new vibe and we can’t get enough!

“Mercy,” by Shawn Mendes: Citizen Four took a special pop twist with the sound of this cover. The beat, synths and drums really emphasized the vibe of the song. That didn’t take away from the group’s overall sound. We think that these guys should definitely work with Shawn for the most epic collab ever!

“Black Beatles,” by Rae Sremmurd: The guys of C4 worked with the incredible Kurt Hugo Schneider for this awesome cover. With only a piano, beat boxer and the band, these guys achieved a simple yet extraordinary version of this song.

“Cold Water,” by Major Lazer, Justin Bieber: We love how these guys took the sounds of the original song and fused their own vocal twist into it. From the vocal layers to Josh Levi’s incredible solo riffs, it was too hard to pick what we love it about it the most. Keep up the great work, C4!

Popmania: Tell us about your brand new single “Lullaby”!
BA: “Lullaby” is the first song I’m dropping off of my EP Honeyed Words. “Lullaby” is a song that so many can relate to but have trouble admitting. It is honest and truthful when talking about an odd dynamic a couple may experience after a break up. Sometimes it’s hard for us to cut off all ties and walk away. I know so many people who see their ex and not admit it to their friends.  They try to keep it on the low. I felt like this side of the story needed to be told.

Popmania: Is there a fun fact behind the song that fans might be surprised to learn?
BA: We wrote and recorded the song in one day. I was talking about my past relationships out loud. We were having a conversation about why something might mean more to one person than the other and if we know this, why do we continue to not let go. That was basically the beginning of the song.

Popmania: Can fans expect a “Lullaby” music video in the near future?
BA: What I can tell you is that there is a lyric video coming verrrrry soon.

Popmania: What are you most excited for fans to hear in this new single?
BA: I’m really eager for everyone to hear the new vibe. Its different, more mature and I’m really proud of it. The type of vibe the song gives off is more of a reflection of who I am as an artist. It’s all about finding your true self through any journey. I’m getting closer and I feel that my fans are going to see that as well.

Popmania: Do you have plans to release an EP?
BA: My EP is called Honeyed Words, and after you listen to the entire record you’ll understand why. It is a collection of five songs total. All with intense and expressive stories that are truly meaningful to me. Each song will take the listener through an emotional journey. These songs all have different stories to tell but they all carry a significant amount of emotion. I worked on this EP with producer/songwriter Elliot James and songwriter Nick Wells. They truly helped get my vision and story into this record, and I’m really looking forward to when it drops.

Dove Cameron: Both Dove and Demi got their starts on Disney Channel and were part of huge musical movie franchises with their roles in Descendants and Camp Rock. So why not get the two in the studio together?! They would no doubt make some serious Disney magic.

Singer/songwriter sister duo Aly & AJ were our OG girl crushes. Who wasn’t obsessed with their hit “Potential Breakup Song”?! Needless to say, we lost all chill when we learned that the girls will be releasing new music after ten whole years of a hiatus. The girls just dropped their epic new single “Take Me” and there’s more where that came from. In a recent interview with Elle, the girls revealed that their EP will be totally different from anything we’ve ever heard before. Here’s what they shared.

If you noticed that “Take Me” sounds totally different from the Aly & AJ you’re used to, there’s a major reason why. “The music we were writing then was based on fictional relationships. We were thirteen and fifteen, we were writing with zero experience. Now that I’m married, and we’ve each had many relationships and heartbreaks, we’re coming at songwriting at a much different way,” Aly opened up. This is cool because their new music is totally indicative of the stages of their lives that they’re currently at! If that isn’t authentic then we don’t know what is.

The girls had total artistic control over their music, which is a huge reason for it’s sound. “We were comforted that we were coming out with something that was original and felt like us. It wasn’t formulated for anyone else or pop radio. It was exactly how we wrote.”

We can hear the sleigh bells ringing already, Popmaniacs! Even though summer is still here, our favorite acapella group Pentatonix is bringing the holiday cheer to us early. When we think of Christmas, we immediately thing of Pentatonix harmonizing on our favorite holiday classics. Which is why we have some ahmazing news for you all — the band just announced they’re not only releasing a deluxe holiday album, but they’re also going on a Christmas tour! Are you freaking out?! Cause we sure are! Here are all of the details:

We won’t have to wait too long to hear the sweet sounds of Pentatonix singing our fave carols. A Pentatonix Christmas Deluxe will be out on October 20! This new album is all we need for the holidays, we couldn’t be happier. It’s not the holiday season without music from these guys.

And of course with every new album comes a tour! A Pentatonix Christmas Tour tickets go on August 25. The tour itself starts in Chicago, Illinois on December 3 and ends right before Christmas in New York City. This is seriously everything we could have ever wanted and more.

The group is just as excited as we are! They released a video on their Instagram page gushing about the upcoming tour and how they can’t wait to see all of their fans in person.

This Christmas is going to be aca-awesome! Between Pentatonix’s big announcement and the third installation of Pitch Perfect hitting theaters December 22, there’s going to be a lot to sing about this Christmas. Can you say “best holiday season ever”?!

Jake Paul has been in the news for countless reasons recently. From his cutting ties with Disney, to the drama with his neighbors, it seems like everyday there’s a new headline. But Jake recently went directly to The Hollywood Reporter to set the record straight. The actor/YouTuber cleared up everything from the chaos in his neighborhood to what really happened with the executives at Bizaardvark. Here’s what he revealed:

From Jake’s account, the decision for him to leave the series was… less than mutual. Apparently, after the KTLA footage aired showing Jake’s neighborhood shenanigans, Disney gave Jake a call. “They basically called me and were like, ‘Yo, what’s going on, what’s going on?’ And I just explained the situation, and they were like, ‘OK. We want to expedite this process of weaning you off the show.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s fine. But it’s going to look like you guys fired me.’ And they were like, ‘We can say that we mutually parted ways and blah, blah, blah.’ And that’s the reality of the story,” Jake told THR.

Yikes, that doesn’t sound good! Jake also revealed that this wasn’t the first time Disney had given him a talking to. “”I was becoming edgier with my content,” Jake explains, “I don’t know if they were having someone scan my videos full-time, but I’m guessing they were.” He shared that every few weeks, he’d receive an email regarding his online content from Disney.

We hope that a positive comes out of this situation and now that Jake is no longer with Disney he’s able to grow into the artist he wants to be. We’ll miss seeing Jake on Bizaardvark though!

Today is a major day in music history — Fifth Harmony just released their brand new album! And it was totally worth the wait. Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren and Dinah dropped 2017’s must-listen-to album and it’s legit everything. From the collabs to the dance floor bangers, every single song is amazing in it’s own way. While we’re completely and totally obsessed with everything on the album, here are our top favorite things about Fifth Harmony:

The Collabs: Everyone knows that Fifth Harmony drops the hottest collabs on the music scene. We’ve been fangirling over “Down” ft. Gucci Mane since it was released. After all, it’s not a Fifth Harmony album without an epic collab for us to dance to!

The Track List: Ten brand new Fifth Harmony songs?! Yes, please! Today is basically better than Christmas. We’re glad that Fifth Harmony was released just in time for us to blast all weekend long. BRB, memorizing every single lyric.

The Reactions: The ladies of 5H are just as excited for the album to be out as we are! All of the members have been freaking out about the release and we are right there with them.

The Potential Tour: With every new album release comes the possibility of a new tour. We’re seriously hoping that 5H embarks on a world tour following the release of their brand new album. Can you imagine anything better?! We’re already freaking out.

The Music Videos: 5H’s most recent single from their new album is “He Like That” and it’s a total dance floor anthem. We’re anxiously awaiting the “He Like That” music video, as well as all of the preceding music videos from the album!
